Madrid Men's Spring/Summer 2012: ANA LOCKING

Ana Locking's vision for this upcoming spring emerges from a minimalist black-cube of a room, into a field of wild florals, color and romance. Her line undergoes the same resurrection that nature does each year, from dark to light, with the coming of spring. I love her florals, which remind me of Celine's gorgeous prints for women this season. ♥ The Boyfriend

New York Men's Spring/Summer 2012: MARLON GOBEL

Marlon Gobel, a designer I've never heard of until now, made his ultra-colorful men's spring/summer 2012 collection into a statement about American consumerism. I wish that social commentary was always this good-looking (i.e. Sebastian Sauve wearing a shirt with a red pepper print)! While a bit kitschy, the collection has some very clever pieces.

Paris Men's Spring/Summer 2012: GIVENCHY

Givenchy's spring/summer 2012 men's collection was all about gender and straddling the line between feminine and masculine. And as you should probably already know, The Boyfriend loves gender issues (late at night). Skirts, sandals, sequins and amazing, shockingly colored prints of Birds of Paradise flowers contrasted with urban elements (earrings, baseball caps, keychains) that adorned the masculine models. Heaven. By far The Boyfriend's favorite show of the season! I need to marry rich or win the lottery so I can buy out the collection come spring....♡ The Boyfriend
