Paris Men's Spring/Summer 2014: Givenchy

Riccardo Tischi's men's spring/summer 2014 collection for Givenchy is a cluster-fuck of prints, graphic elements and seemingly incongruous references. For the past few years, Tisci has dominated the men's market and dictated trends with his unique and now-identifiable brand of blending street wear with iconic prints. While Tisci's look is, by now, getting a bit too familiar, he somehow manages to come up with a new twist every season (stripes). This is his second-to-last collection for the house, and perhaps one of his best. Who can deny glory to the man who put leather shorts on top of leggings? ♥ The Boyfriend

Paris Men's Fall/Winter 2014/2015: Walter Van Beirendonck

Walter Van Beirendonck is a designer with a completely original and fresh take on men's fashion. Season and season again, he creates a new wild and whimsical world of print, shape and color. His men's fall/winter 2014/15 collection, entitled Crossed Crocodiles Growl, presented an army of helmeted soldiers in everything from geometric and ethnic prints to animalistic touches, fur and tribal paint - the definition of "eclectic." Despite the mayhem, the collection was solid, eye-catching and easily broken down in to scene-stealing pieces for daily wear, albeit for the more daring among us. ♥ The Boyfriend

Paris Men's Fall/Winter 2014/2015: Marc Jacobs

Apparently leaving his position at Louis Vuitton was the best thing Marc Jacobs could've done for his own label. The men's fall/winter 2014/15 collection, which took inspiration from the 1970s sex-insfused playboy style of Jack Nicholson and Bryan Ferry, was his best in a long time! Velvet dominated an array of plush fabrics used on casual-chic pieces which perfectly married sex appeal, masculine elegance and a relaxed, retro approach to dressing up. ♥ The Boyfriend

Lanvin was perhaps the leader in the stunning unisex trend which swept Paris men's fashion week. A pencil thin silhouette made possible short shorts, tunics and innnovatively cut suits, without them looking awkward at all. Paris Men's Fall/Winter 2013/2014: Saint Laurent

Hedi Slimane, the newly appointed designer at Saint Laurent, made a grand return to men's Paris fashion week with his fall/winter 2013/2014 collection (his debut collection for the brand). Like a great drug dealer, he gave us a favorite, familiar Slimane dose of tall, emaciated pretty boys in gorgeous clothes, part hipster, part 1990s grunge and even a little Mick Jagger.
