London Men's Fall/Winter 2014/2015: Burberry Prorsum

Burberry's Christopher Bailey looked to inspiration for his men's fall/winter 2014/2015 collection in the works and lives of British painters Ben Nicholson, Christopher Wood, Lucian Freud and Duncan Grant, who, as a group, share the qualities of great talent, frequent travel and dynamic sexuality. The lightweight fabrics, mesh and silk scarves make it look like more of a resort collection, reminiscent of the "grand tour" of Europe which young men of the romantic eighteenth century took as a bourgeois/intellectual right-of-passage and recorded in their journals. While Bailey never fails to create iconic show-pieces every season (map prints), this collection seemed to be missing something, despite the amazing kilim-fabric bags, which The Boyfriend loves. ♥ The Boyfriend

Milan Men's Fall/Winter 2013/2014: Burberry Prorsum

Burberry Prorsum's men's fall/winter 2013/2014 collection was not its most fascinating ever, with an expected focus on elegant and inventive coats in seen-before cuts, in a union of rock & roll with British heritage. The most exciting aspect of the collection were the touches of animal print on must-have accessories, which Burberry churns out without fail, every season, to our delight. ♥ The Boyfriend

קולקציית הגברים לסתיו/חורף 2014/2013 של ברברי פרורסום לא היתה המרתקת ביותר שלה אי פעם, עם התמקדות צפויה במעילים אלגנטיים וחדשניים בגזרות שכבר ראינו, בשילוב של רוק & רול ומורשת בריטית. הקטע המרגש ביותר היה נגיעות המנומר על מגוון אקססוריז, קטגוריה שברברי מצליחה בה, לשמחתנו, כל עונה מחדש. ♥ הבויפרנד

Milan Men's Spring/Summer 2013: Burberry Prorsum

Designer Christopher Bailey has done it again. Each season, he produces a solid collection based on Burberry Prorsum's core values with several must-have trend pieces which simply blow your mind away and keep you craving more. Spring/summer 2013 is no different, focused on outerwear with runway-licious accents and details. I can't help but wonder if the neon metallic fabrics were inspired by Anselm Reyle, who has been on The Boyfriend's radar for a while. LST (long story short) - another triumph for Burberry, by far the best menswear label on earth. ♥ The Boyfriend

המעצב כריסטופר ביילי שוב עשה את זה ובגדול. כל עונה, הוא יוצר קולקציה מדהימה מבוססת על העקרונות של המותג ברברי עם כמה פריטים מטריפים ומלהיבים גורמים לך רק לרצות עוד. קולקציית אביב/קיץ 2013 לא יוצאת דופן, מרוכזת בג'קטים ומעילים עם חידושים ועיטורים "מסלוליים" טעימים. אני תוהה אם בדי המתכת בצבעי נאון לא נוצרו בהשראת האמן אנסלם ריילי, שכתב עליו הבויפרנד לא מזמן. בקיצור - ניצחון נוסף לבית ברברי - מותג אופנת הגברים המרשים ביותר עלי אדמות. ♥ הבויפרנד

Boyfriend's Closet: BURBERRY

Tel Aviv doesn't have much of a winter. Days can be unexpectedly warm or cold and rainy, between the months of November and February. To any European, it's a joke. Buch much like the Californian variety of our species, Israelis panic at the sight of a little rain. This is the perfect time of year for layers and warm accessories. This is my collection of Burberry cashmere scarves. Besides being soft and delicious, they'll never go out of style. ♥ The Boyfriend

לתל אביב אין ממש חורף. ימים יכולים להיות חמים או קרים וגשומים באופן בלתי צפוי בין החודשים נובמבר לפברואר. לכל אירופאי זו בדיחה. אבל בידיוק כמו הזן האנושי הקליפורנאי, ישראלים נכנסים לפאניקה כשמתבשרים על בואן של שתי טיפות גשם. זה בדיוק הזמן ללבוש שכבות ואקססוריז חמים. זה האוסף שלי של צעיפי קשמיר של ברברי. מלבד היותם רכים ונעימים הם לעולם לא ייצאו מהאופנה. ♥ הבויפרנד

Spring is fast approaching and there's no better way to get in the mood than to imagine wearing the pieces from Burberry's amazing spring/summer 2012 collection, photographed here by Tomoke Sukezane for Popeye Magazine. It is, in my opinion, is the equivalent of fashion porn. If I had stock in Facebook, I'd be selling it right now to pay for the whole collection, in every color available. ♥ The Boyfriend

האביב קרב ובא ואין דרך טובה יותר להיכנס לאווירה מאשר לדמיין את עצמי לובש את פירטי הקולקציה החדשה והמדהימה של ברברי לאביב/קיץ 2012, שצולמה על-ידי טומוקה סוקזאנה עבור מגזין פופיי. לדעתי, זו ההקבלה לאופנת פורנו. אם היה לי מלאי בפייסבוק, הייתי מוכר אותו מיד בשביל לקנות לעצמי את כל הקולקציה, בכל צבע אפשרי. ♥ הבויפרנד

Does fashion get any better than this?! Since my first purchase from Burberry in 2001, the label hasn't disappointed me yet...if only romantic relationships could be this good! Christopher Bailey, the unexpected king of contemporary men's fashion, keeps dazzling us with his creations for the iconic British brand. The fall/winter 2012 men's collection packs just enough whimsy and eccentricity while consciously retaining the sophisticated British aesthetic the brand prides itself on. The colorful but not-too-ethnic prints, the puffed coats, metal-studded accessories and animal details breathe fun and edge into tailored suits. This is men's fashion at its best. ♥ The Boyfriend
